Many of my lessons learned are addressed in the change/modify section. It is
necessary to assess prior knowledge in software skills and then scaffold
clear lessons to allow students to successfully achieve their objective.
A strategy I definitely want to employ is teaching the software skills
prior to announcing the project so as to capture more attention on the
task at hand.
So much of this course involves using vocabulary that the student
has never used or even heard before. This lesson plan reinforces the
concept of situated cognition -- allowing students to solve problems in
a real context. To allow students to do so, gives them greater success
in actually learning the material. |
