To improve communication among members and to reach out to a wider audience, the Organization of Chinese American Women (OCAW) wanted a Web presence to meet these goals.

My partner, Lisa and I created a site where new and old members can explore the past and present of the organization. We also included a fun area where members can participate in one of their favorite topics - food.

1) consult with client to find out their goals for the site.
2) prepare treatment and project site
3) brainstorm for design ideas
4) draw flow charts
5) design logo
6) collect content from client
7) prepare graphics
8) develop pages

Shared responsibilities with my partner on all of the above tasks.

• get client to communicate goals clearly.
• put ideas on paper before developing the pages
• draw out flow charts and develop project site if team members are not able to meet easily.
• teamwork is essential, share workload wisely.
• stick to design plan as much as possible and complete initial plans, update and revise later.
