Overview  

The World Congress on Information Technology 1998 held in Fairfax, Virginia adopted Pointcast as their official browser on all computer monitors during the Congress. Sponsors of the Congress were given free advertisement space in the browser.

A team of graduate multimedia students were asked to design these advertisements for the sponsors. Our challenge was to produce 15 seconds and or 30 seconds advertisements that would draw the attention of the participants.

  • Patience. It is frustrating to learn a new software but persistence pays.
  • Advertisements can be graphic intensive. Share common assets among team members.
  • Pay attention to design elements.
  • Learn from other designers.
  • Test objects on browser all the time.
