While the websites presented here have been American in context, most other countries have similar services. For example, Picture Australia is one example of Australian history, providing both historical images and coverage of current day events. The British also have several websites concentrating on British, British Colonial and Continental items. One example of this is Mary Evans, the more European version of Art Resource. A nice searchable site, the user has to plan ahead for the cross ocean delay in shipping. A good image site for European and World Conflicts is the Imperial War Museum in London .
