This first website, I find to be very easy to navigate and use. Art Resource offers fine art that is available direct from their website after the user purchases one-time rights to publish it. They link several reputable sources together and act as the storehouse. Because of the large collection of images, a print version would difficult because linking all the different organizations into one collection would be too large. All of the important information is displayed on the first screen, including login/registration, search, and contact information. The collections cover almost every aspect of world art, depicting subjects such as Alexander the Great and Eleanor and Aquitaine through World War Two and more contemporary paintings. Their target audience is a person searching for a fine art image to i.llustrate their article or story. Art Resource does this well and also attempts to make it easy for non-specialists to use their images. The downloads are of excellent quality, and are easy to get once authorized.
