"Memorandum: CSR Tree Planting Program" In this memorandum, I was assigned to assume I was an intern of a large company interested in pursing a CSR program. Corporate Social Responsibilty is vital for every company to consider because it can greatly benefit the community, and the business simultaneously. I chose to write about the local Washington Gas company, adressing enviornmental issues. My proposed CSR program involved the planting of trees throughout Washington DC to help lower the levels of greenhouse gases. I use a formal, business memo stucture to write this about this CSR program. My aim is to be consise, clear, professional, but most importantly, convincing.
"Chaïm Perelman’s New Rhetoric" This paper examines the thoery of New Rhetoric and what New Rhetoric can provide you as a professional. This paper not only relates to my concentration in Writing and Rhetoric, but also to my business field, because of the vast benefits studying rhetoric can have. New Rhetoric uses traditional rhetoric, but becomes an advanced version, allowing for rhetoric to be more easily understood and taught. Understanding the audience of your work and understanding how to convey and argue points, is a vital skill to have. Rhetoric is a tool for allowing that to happen.
