In terms of Transportation in Tanzania, there is a total of 10 international airports with paved runways, and 156 airports with unpaved runways, totaling the number of airports in the country to 166 airports. There are 4,567 kilometers of railways that run across the country, and help connect the country and its people and the railway system is ranked 47th in the world. Along with using railways and airports the country also uses waterways, mostly, the three lakes which are used to trade goods with neighboring countries. And although there are several rivers in Tanzania, such as Moyowosi, and Gombe, they are not easily navigable. There are two major seaports which are used, and those are the Dar es Salaam, and the Zanzibar. The main mode of transportation is via roads. There is a total of 86,472 kilometers of roads, however, only 7,092 kilometers are paved, which the remaining 79,380 kilometers are unpaved, which ranks it 53rd in the world.
