Strategy Level — Web-based Instruction

Viewing Web-based instruction at a Strategy Level incorporates the connection of learning principles to the development of effective instructional strategies using various Web-based instructional tools.

  • Pedagogical implications of Web-course authoring tools

This effort reviews the attributes of several Web-course authoring tools used in demonstration or actual courses and their relation to pedagogical principles of instruction. The informal evaluation of these courses used The Framework for Web-based Learning developed by Badrul Khan. He has given his permission to visit the site so I can make the password available to you. If you are interested in the full paper of this information I would also be happy to make it available.

  • Web-based Computer Conferencing - Learning theory principles and instructional strategies

This investigation made strong connections between theoretical constructs related to learning and potential instructional strategies that can be incorporated into Web-based Computer Conferencing.

  • EDIT797 Web-based Learning - Implementation of instructional strategies into a Web-based Computer Conferencing Course

Teaching this primarily on-line course permitted the opportunity to incorporate several of the instructional strategies in the table above and see first hand the strengths and weaknesses of Web-based computer conferencing.
