The newspaper article titled "Excessive Use of Facebook Linked to Low Grades," written by an anonymous author, debates the idea that the use of Facebook is lowering the grade point average of students in college. However, that remains to be seen. The other side of the argument defends the idea that Facebook can be a useful tool for academic purposes since students are constantly checking and responding to it on a daily basis. Facebook cannot be the blame for grades because students make their own decisions. When used properly, it can really benefit society for research purposes, as a job-hunting method, or as an education resource.
