  GAMED Device

EDIT 730 was an incredible learning opportunity!  Groups were formed to investigate a variety of problems to determine possible technological solutions.  The groups used a WIKI for a unique collaboration experience during the semester and we contributed to a BLOG to share ideas with a larger group of people.

During this class, I interviewed students with differing abilities and perceptions to create a persona of a student with ADHD and giftedness.  Others in the group developed personas of a teacher, a parent, and with the persona of the student with ADHD and giftedness, provided many aspects of the problems these students have in school as well as a variety of perspectives.  Collaboratively a needs assessment was created and current products available were investigated for a competitive analysis.  A site map outlined an initial combination of technological features and subject information to be included. The performance analysis put all the information together to focus ideas.  The content inventory listed the major needs considered, suggested solutions, and content information that should be included in a device design.  An interactive wire frame was developed to get an idea of how the device would work and to understand the sequence and interaction of components.  The strategy document provided the rational for the design, a concept model and included the content inventory. For the final project our group outlined possibilities that could be a possible solution for the unique needs of students with ADHD and giftedness.  The project was continued in EDIT 752 the following semester.
