What To do when I get HIV?

DO NOT AFRAID !

People infected with HIV and AIDS are living longer, healthier lives today. Thanks to new and effective treatments. Contact specialized HIV doctor. If you don't know which doctor to use, talk with a health care professional or trained HIV counselor. Women are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, this is especially important.

There also are other things you can do for yourself to stay healthy. Here are a few:

  1. Follow your doctor's instructions. Keep your appointments. Take medicine as instructed because taking only some of your medicine gives your HIV infection more chance to grow.

  2. Get immunizations (shots) to prevent infections such as pneumonia and flu annually.

  3. Quit Smoking. Eat healthy foods. Exercise regularly to stay strong and fit. Get enough sleep and rest. This way will keep you heathy

  4. Independent studies have proved that a hightly effective and safe drug from National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Uganda can prevent the transmission of HIV from infected mothers to her new born. [4] For more information ...
