Who Are We?
History

SmartRelief is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2001 inside a small closet by two people with big dreams, John Doe and Ramisa Resha. They stumbled upon some heartbreaking articles about the hunger crisis that plagued Yemen for a long time. They wanted to help, but no organization had heard of Yemen’s hunger crisis. However, the founding members did not give up. Instead, they decided to take matters into their own hands and created SmartRelief. They started small by making gift baskets and donating them to other organizations. As membership grew, SmartRelief started taking more ambitious projects. By 2010, they were a full-fledged non-profit organization that was ready to tackle these big issues.
Where Are We Now?
Currently, our headquarters are located on 1234 Main St, Washington DC. In that building, there are over 500 full-time members and part-time volunteers. They organize volunteering events, maintain communication with the facilities in Yemen, and brainstorm new ideas to bring Yemen one step closer to ending their crisis. Our most noticeable members include our founding members (John Doe and Ramisa Resha), the Executive Vice President (Gina Linetti), and Assistant Regional Manager (Dwight Schrute).
