Fear is in never trying, fear is in giving up.  Never fear the unknown, never let the system win and when all else fails, back it up, wipe it out and start over... Robin

Paint Reflections

I have to start this reflection by saying "I LOVE PAINT".  I have always been a huge fan of Paint and I am so happy we were given the opportunity to use it this semester.  I do have to add on to what I mentioned in my draw reflection, and that is I wish I had the time to incorporate this software into my lessons.  I think students need to learn how to be able to create exactly what they want to create and I think they need to understand that they don't need a boat load of talent to be able to use a program like Paint.  One of the subjects I teach has to do with copyright laws and the Internet and most of my students feel (even today) that if it's on the Internet it is okay to use.  "Why else would be it be there?", is generally one of the questions I get.  When students are creating projects for English, Science, History, etc., which requires them to use graphics, they are quick to run to an image finder and download what they think will work.  By using Paint, or a similar program, they have the means at their fingertips to create exactly what they want, or manipulate an already created image so that they are able to make it their own and useable for their projects.
