Implications
Patients obviously put a substantial amount of trust to their healthcare providers when they disclose their medical history and family background. When there is a third-party vendor involved in the healthcare process, information is being put at risk. When entrusting an AI vendor with sensitive data, all parties must agree to the same protection standards to prevent an abuse of power. The amount of data that a patient releases to their healthcare provider is already concerning and to add a third party is quite a challenge when it comes to security standards.
