April 19, 2018—Starting the Cranberry Ginger Mead

Cherry Ginger Batch After meticulously planning out the recipe over the last month we are finally ready to dive into our next batch! This is to be a cranberry/ginger mead made with locally sourced clover honey and our in-house yeast, 3 gallons of tart cranberry juice, 3 lbs of whole berries, and 12 oz of ginger.

The initial batch will take 10-18 days to ferment and upon completion we will decide how sweet it will be, as well as if any further ginger is needed since the cranberry content will be so high.

I'll update everyone further once we have moved to the secondary stage, so until then, Slainte mhaith friends.
