I have been able to obtain relative competence in the area of literature review.  Not only have I had significant opportunities in most of my  courses, but I have had to do alot of research for Dr. Regan in the area of identifying EBPs which should be included in Pre-service special education classes.  That research included not only traditional analysis of written materials produced by those recognized as experts in each domain, but also included an iterative process that included interviews of instructors along with an examination of their syllabi and Blackboard sites.  Time was spent this semester examining sites that contain a variety of resources which pertain to Behavior Disability in order to ascertain how they define EBPs. Some final products include EBP matrices and catagorized updated reference lists.

Another relative competency was developed in the area of qualitative research, especially using observation and interviewing to obtain data.  Though I am still inexperienced at coding, my final paper for my qualitative class indeed gave me a good beginning.  

I would not necessarily say that I am even relatively competent in the area of conceptual analysis, but the Concept Design Map and Research Design Map gave me the opportunities to significantly grow in this area.
