Electronic Medical Records are constantly changing and improving in order to meet the demands of the healthcare field. Issues of ethics are improving so that providers are focusing more on the patients and avoiding temptations of shortcuts to save time. Physicians are continuing to avoid using templates or at least spend more time understanding the patient’s specific needs. They are also being trained to be descriptive and detailed on their care plan. Mistakes made are being used to avoid those same mistakes. Computers are being checked with viruses to prevent any shutdown in hospitals. Health care workers are being trained to follow the rules and prevent any leak of confidential information to the public. Although there may be a couple of complications, electronic medical records are an essential part of the medical field. There has been enough cases where electronic medical records proved to be an important technology in order to provide great care. The United States is still catching up with electronic health records. Many other countries such as Canada, Taiwan, and Singapore are further into it. It will continue to improve and prevent any problems with the use. This technology will never go away.
