IntroductionThe people speak mostly Arabic, which is the country’s official language, though English and French are widely understood by the educated community. The population of the country is around 78 million people. Egypt’s largest religion is Muslim, which composes 94% of the country, and consists of mostly Sunni Muslims. Located in a desert, Egypt’s climate is generally hot and sunny with mild winters. The country has a prime location in North Africa with a northern border on the Mediterranean Sea and an eastern border on the Red Sea. On the west side of Egypt is the country of Libya along with the Gaza Strip. The country is about the same size as France and Germany combined at just over one million square kilometers. Cairo, the Capital City of Egypt is a busy business center attracting entrepreneurs from all over the world. The city is comparable to American cities in terms of ICT(Information and communications technology) readiness, which is an astounding fact considering parts of the country are still unable to connect to the World Wide Web.
