Major Issue

• One of the biggest issues in Zimbabwe is agriculture. Ever since President Mugabe seized land from White farmers, Zimbabwe's agriculture production has plummeted.


• In order to improve agriculture production Zimbabwe should considered using Genetically Modified Crops (GMC). GMCs are plants that have had genes artificially inserted into them. Advantages of using GMCs are:
  • Improving the number of crops yielded.
  • Disease resistant crops.
  • Drought resistant crops.
  • Increase nutrional value.
    Ex: A scientist could take the nutritional value of tomatoes and add it to the nutritional value of corn.


• By using GMCs Zimbabwe would be able to increase agricultre production and help feed its starving population.
