Form
Form is the appearance of shape and is an extension of line.
Space
We live in a world of depth. When we look around us, some things seem closer, some further away. The illusion of depth can be created in several ways:
- Varying size of the objects to show depth
- Overlapping objects to show one object is closer or further away than another
- Aerial of atmospheric views
Texture
Texture is the surface quality of an object. The areas of light and dark give the appearance of depth.
Color
Color occurs when light in different wavelengths hits our eyes. Objects have no color of their own, only the ability to reflect a certain wavelength of light back to our eyes. Color can vary depending on the circumstances See the examples with the color red below:
