Cultural Herritage Sites

Edinburgh in the Winter

There are many great cultural heritage sites to visit in Scoltand, but one of the most concentrated (and best) places to visit you want to get the biggest bang for your buck is Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle

Possibly the most noticable World Herritage Site in Edinburgh is Edinburgh Castle. The castle looms over both the Old Town and New Town of Edinburgh proper. The castle is settled on top of a small mountain around which the rest of the city was built up around. The castle is not only impressive because of its high, but also because of the lays of different castles that have come to make up the current impressive structure as it is known today.

The Georgian House

The Georgian House

The Georgian House is on display as on of the Cultural Herritage sites in Edinburgh because it highlights the style of housing that was built and using during the 18th and 19th centuries in the New Town of Edinburgh. The house has be under constant renovation to bring it back to its previous glory when it was built in 1796 by John Lamont.
