Analogous: selection of colors grouped in the same area of the color spectrum. Colors usually are differentiated by vibrancy and contrast when compared with each other.
Monochromatic: using a single base hue and extending it using shades, tones and tints.
Triadic: three color designs on separate spectrums.
Complementary: colors on opposite sides of the color wheel, such as green and red.
Compound: two groups of complementary colors chosen from opposite ends of the spectrum.
