Empowerment from Technological Literacy

Technological literacy- meaning computer skills and the ability to use computer and other technology o improve learning, productivity and performance – has become as fundamental to a person’s ability to navigate through society as traditional skills like reading, writing, and arithmetic. (Clinton, 1997) Being technologically literate is just as important as reading, writing and math. At every stage of civilization a new standard is set as far as the advancement of education goes. At one point reading and writing were the bare minimum to ensure that you had a job and as time progresses there are more skills that you have to acquire in order to succeed in corporate America. Nowadays to simply get a receptionist job you have to be computer savvy to even be considered for the position.
