Background Information
In the world that we live in today, technology is something that we all don’t take for granted. In fact, technology empowers individuals to do things that would be deemed difficult or impossible to achieve without it. For example, technology can empower students to reach higher levels of education than in previous times when technology was less advanced. According to the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (1997), by having students work with certain technological tools like word processing, database, and graphing software, this will allow the students to become more comfortable in completing tasks in the actual work force at an efficient rate. Also, because of innovations in various technologies including the internet, more specifically social networks, people are able to stay connected with each other no matter their location. With future technological advances, people will be able to accomplish more and as a result, become more empowered.
