Grant Lab

Fall 2019

Year after year the students in the lab continue their growth and development into promising scientists. We are sad to lose Charlotte and Durwood this year as they both graduated, however they left the lab with a bang. Charlotte and Durwood completed projects and presented them at the Summer and Fall Oscar celebration of scholarships. The transiton continues, as Nora and Ganit joined us for an undergrduate research semester. Their work was highlighted during the poster presentations and Nora has decided to stick around with the lab for a little longer. Welcome to the team! Jorge and Michelle have slowly grown accustomed to the graduate student life, both students have applied for pre-doctoral fellowships so good luck to them! Finally we went to two events this semester, the NIH Mitochondrial Symposium and the Pulmonary Fibrosis Summit 2019. We learned a lot of great science and will use that to further the work. Of course, we celebrate just as hard as we work, a little Christmas party with all of the wonderful students in the lab!!!!!
