- Plan a broad range of sessions and activities for the annual anthropology meetings in Washington, D.C.
- Attempt to forge better connections across the academic, applied, and practitioner trajectories of anthropology
- Broaden the exposure of refugee issues in anthropology, especially through Anthropology News
- Bring the anthropological experience with refugees to the general public
