Currently, I am building a system in order to play Crysis, the new game I mentioned that is truly a PC killer. The specifications are detailed below.
- nVidia XFX 680i motherboard (perfect for overclocking)
- Cooler-Master 750W SLI PSU
- Eliminator Liquid-TEC CPU Cooler and Cool-Air RAM cooler
- Q6600 core 2 Quad processor @ 2.4 GHz, overclocked to a stable 3.6 GHz
- 2 Hitachi 1 Terabyte hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration, with 1 Terabyte Non-RAID
- 2 evga nVidia 8800 GTS in SLI, overclocked to 740/1835/1000x2
- 4 Gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800 RAM overclocked to 1 Ghz
- Creative Labs X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Sound Card
With all this technology, I can run Crysis at max settings, with AA off, at around 24FPS (playable!). Truly, a testament to Cyrsis truly being a PC killer.
