Facts about the people from Timor-Leste

The citizens of Timor-Leste are called Timorese.
The three ethnic groups are Papuan, Austronesian, small Chinese minority.
Their official language is Tetum and due to high influence of Portugal many of the Timorese people speak Portuguese. Indonesian and english also are prominently spoken in this region.
About 98% of the population is Roman-Catholic, 1% of the population is Muslim, 1% of them are Protestants.
