The Society for Creative Anachronisms, also known as SCA, is a community of medievalists re-creating the middle ages in today's modern world. Hence, the word anachronism, meaning one that is chronologically out of place or in the wrong period.

The Diamond Dogs are involved in the SCA. We can be found in the kingdom of Middle East, Ream of Atlantia. Traversing the realms may be difficult for a newcomer, so here is a small introduction to the SCA culture. The language of the SCA-dians can be broken down as follows:

Mundane-used to refer to non-period items or personas

Garb- period clothing

Baubles- any coin, jewel, trinket or valuable that can be bartered or gambled.

Drinking Horn- the medieval society recommends that you never leave home without it.

Privies- bathroom

Helm- helmet

Gauntlets- iron or leather gloves

Gorget- iron or leather neck protection

M' lord or M' lady- greeting used when you do not know a person's title
