Our Kinsman and Swordbrother training has endured over 20 years of tradition.

The terms Kinsman and Swordbrother are not gender specific. Training begins with the kinsman's selection of a swordbrother. This individual must possess a braveheart, quick mind, and fighting capability. The pact of Kinsman and swordbrother is voluntary on both sides.

In exchange for knowledge and training, the swordbrother obeys and protects his kinsman. The kinsman protects and trains his swordbrother.

The union of the Kinsman and Swordbrother are witnessed and celebrated by all, with a formal ceremony. The ceremonies are usually held at night after a hard day's battle.

The rituals of the ceremony depend solely on the kinsman who is taking the swordbrother. Tradition, however, requires the passing of the drinking horn.
