- Performed early characterization and formulation development work leading to Phase I and Phase II formulations.
- Executed a statistically designed experiment to eliminate the problem of segregation in a combination direct compression tablet, Combivir TM. Resulted in the selection of a marketable formulation and the filing of the patent 6,113,920.
- Produced terminally sterilized ampules in the UK at a GMP manufacturing pilot plant. Wrote batch documentation and was responsible for the manufacture, sterilization, inspection, and export of the material to the US.
- Wrote sections of an Investigational New Drug application for submission to the FDA.
