IB Proposals for North American Perception Studies - Completed July 2009
The above link is a paper I completed while on internship at IB Vancouver in 2009. The Vancouver office had asked me to work up possible plans for a full North American perception study including North American and Canadian colleges and universities should IB fund a full perception study. The feeling in the office was that at some point this would be a necessity but at the present time, this was not an option due to both financial constraints and the scope of study. Completing this paper also gave me the ability to see the full scope of North America when compared to the previously completed English or the Australian studies.

Dissertation Planning Conceptual Diagram
This "work in progress" diagram represents my potential framework for an American university perception study of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and IB students. Because of the recent legistlation concerning university recognition in Virginia, I have also begun to incorporate questions addressing how universities might feel about the legislation and the result on IB recognition policies and university officials' perceptions.
This paper outlines my thoughts surrounding my plans for my dissertation. I feel as if I have been thinking about this forever. The paper outlines the problem to be addressed in the dissertation study, the research questions, conceptual framework, some research literature, and methods to be used.
After all the work I have put into my program, this short statement is also a necessary part of my portfolio.
