Arts for Hearts is an idea. Our inspiration originated from two simple observations
- 1. College students enjoy decorating their dorm rooms
- 2. There is an over-abundance of student-made art with out a home.
CHARITY ART AUCTION
Arts for Hearts is an auction service that will turn student created art into liquid assets for the community. Artists will have the opportunity to combine talent with social responsibility to help gain publicity, build networking opportunities, and be involved in tax deductible social benefits. Buyers will be able to actively participate with the student art community in a positive atmosphere. The auction will be an event that provides various services for the three types of customers it brings together: buyers, sellers, and community organizations. The inventory for the auction will be based on the projects donated by the art students. The inventory becomes an asset to be used for public good and the earnings will be reinvested into the community. The auction will receive maximum feasibility operating as a Non-profit Organization 501(C)(3) and collecting donations in a similar manner to the Donation Movement powered by Goodwill©.
MORE THAN AN AUCTION
The Arts for Hearts Organization will provide many services for artist, buyers, and the community. The artists that participate will benefit from gaining publicity, networking, social responsibility, and tax benefits. Buyers will have access to a variety of original art, opportunity to interact with artists and art enthusiast, and the enjoyment of participating in an auction. The community will benefit from opportunities provided by the auction event, they will have the option to set up stations to share information about their organizations, they will receive donated funds from the earning of the auction, and there will be opportunities to volunteer and gain community service hours.
