In order to introduce the Haitian resort companies to the global marketplace, an official ecommerce website would need to be created. Since Haiti is not a technological-advanced country and is not used to doing business on the web, all of the resorts should join together into one large corporation. As a start, they would create one large website dedicated to promoting all of the resorts. The website would include travel packages, picture galleries, forms, means for Internet transactions, alternative methods of contact, and up-to-date information about the resorts. Once the e-business goes well and the companies are more familiar with the ideas and practices of ecommerce, the individual resorts could split up and start creating their own websites if they wish.
In addition, the resorts should affiliate with air travel agencies from other countries such as the United States and France. These agencies would be provided with special deals and vacation packages for their customers. The resorts would advertise those travel agencies on their Affiliations page. Likewise, those agencies would advertise them. This would hopefully gain global interests and possibly spark investments in Haitian resorts.
Lastly, the resorts would still offer services directly to the consumers, both locally and globally, by the usual method of booking. This could be done in person, over the phone, and online. Therefore, this project employs both a Business-to-Business approach as well as a Business-to-Consumer approach.
