Ganiraju's image

I was born and raised in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. I did my schooling in GVKBM, Ramachandrapuram and Gandhi Centenary school, kakinada. I completed my higher secondary school at Pragathi Junior college, Kakinada. I attended Bharatiar University in Coimbatore, where I received B.E degree in Computer Science & Engineering. I received my MSIT in Bioinformatics from International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. After my masters, I was a Bioinformatics Junior Research Fellow in the Genomics research group at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology for a period of two years.

Later, I came to USA to join the PhD program in Biosciences at George Mason University, Virginia. My doctoral research is in the area of Cancer Bioinformatics. After my doctoral education, I worked as a Sr.Bioinformatics Specialist at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) (through E-SAC Inc.), Rockville, MD for the NCI caBIG consortium. Currently, I am working as Research Bioanalyst at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. You can have a look at my resume or explore this site for more information about my professional life.
