The internet has greatly altered the craft of journalism. Reading the news
has become an interactive experience. One can watch videos and read articles
from the past, all from the comfort of his or her home, hassle free.
Particularly with the invention of the smartphone, the latest breaking news is
available any place and anytime. More information and news coverage is
accessible than ever before. Though the surge in online journalism has caused
many newspaper companies to take a hit financially, a number of them are
beginning to charge for viewing their content online, allowing them to stay in
business. Technology has greatly evolved over the past twenty years and with
that so has the way in which journalists are reporting the news.
