EDSE 841 Final Project

      The final research project included the application for HSRB approval, approval of a local school district, and other important elements of research studies. I encountered great difficulty obtaining permission from the local school district which was not granted until two months after the course was complete. I used all the information after and projected possible findings and implications.  I continued the study in an independent study course EDUC 897. This valuable experience helped me to become aware of pitfalls to be avoided in future studies.  One key lesson was to make sure that there is enough time in advance of the study to gain all the permissions needed especially university HSRB approval and the approval of the local district. The final project resulted in a detailed paper and a PowerPoint presentation outlining the research.
