Dr. Fox’s primary research strand has emerged from work on teacher portfolio development in the ASTL and Foreign Language Program areas, as well as other CEHD programs. Examining portfolio development and implementation and program portfolios as performance-based assessment tools has built on her original dissertation research, which studied the role of the portfolio in foreign and second language pre-service teacher education. Her research in this area has now expanded to include other content areas and programs, as well as the role of critical reflective practice as an essential portfolio component.
