You tossed in bed all night that night you met it. The ticks of the
digital
clock kept you awake. Your thoughts were only amplified by the ticks as
you did
all you could to get to sleep. You drifted off around three fifteen and
awoke
abruptly at four fourteen as the thoughts called you awake. As you
opened your
eyes and looked around the room it was directly in of you.
At first you only want to run as its eyes look upon you with a puzzled
gaze.
Your clock had stopped ticking as nothing mattered but what was in
front of
you. You no longer tossed but instead lay petrified and looked into its
black
eyes.
It slowly started to move to the side of your bed and began to speak
words you
couldn’t understand, a cryptic message. You hadn’t believed in this
kind of
encounter since childhood but here it was talking to you. It turns for
a second
and you take that opportunity to run out of the room but the phone
rings.
You are slammed back into bed by the monster as it hands the phone to
you. You
talk as the monster smiles and knows it has the control. You listen to
the message
as it is nothing but the monster keeping you awake. The same language
is being
spoken. You find its list of demands tiring and attempt sleep but the static continues. Loudly.
The sun started to rise as you looked to your alarm clock as it
read five thirty six. Another day, another cycle. You heard the monster
creep out of the room and closed the door slightly. You felt his gaze
as he stared through the crack in the door. It too knew the cycle. |
