Dr. Fryxell's primary academic appointment is in the School of Systems Biology (SSB). SSB faculty participate in the undergraduate program in Biology, but have primary responsibility for the Master's program in Biology, the Ph.D. Program in Biosciences, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BCB).
Most students in the Fryxell lab choose concentrations in molecular biology (at the M.S. level), cellular & molecular biology (at the Ph.D. level), or Neuroscience (see below). A few students in the Fryxell lab have had interests in BCB and/or molecular evolution, however students in these areas should consult with Dr. Fryxell before applying.
Dr. Fryxell serves as an affiliated faculty member in the interdisciplinary graduate program in Neuroscience, which includes faculty from the College of Science, the College of Engineering, the Krasnow Institute, and the Department of Psychology.
