The Gist of Things

Two generic princesses, a warrior and a witch, have lost their friend and must navigate a dangerous dungeon to save her. Puzzling puzzles and evil enemies stand in the way of our hapless heroines, but armed with brute force and a sparkly wand, the princesses will prevail. with flair.

Features

This game offers cooperative play to pairs of mixed interests. The environment and battle mechanics encourage strategic collaboration. While the witch princess's attacks are best planned with logical reasoning, the warrior requires spatial reasoning. The interface appeals to gamers who are tired of the typical control scheme and damage system. Musically-inclined players will find that the most aesthetic sequences will produce the most damage; tone-deaf players can, through trial and error, also learn to cast potent spells.

Models

The system of combining elements is taken from Magicka. The elemental types and immunities were inspired by Pokemon and found in many battle games. The sprites are characters from The Legend of Zelda. The music was composed with consideration for the visual style of the sprites.

The audiovisual assets were a mix of royalty-free fillers and some pieces we designed specifically for this game. Levels were designed with the Tiled Map Editor.
