The Committee on Refugees & Immigrants (CORI) focuses on the global problems of forced dislocation, the provision of asylum and resettlement to refugees, and the adjustment of immigrants. CORI is part of the American Anthropological Association’s Society for Urban, National, and Transnational/Global Anthropology (SUNTA).

Membership:

There are three classes of membership in CORI:

Full membership: Based on membership in the AAA’s Society for Urban, National, and Transnational/Global Anthropology (SUNTA). Full members have all rights including voting and holding elective office.

Associate membership: Based on membership in the American Anthropological Association without membership in the Society for Urban, National, and Transnational/Global Anthropology (SUNTA). Associate members have all rights, including voting, except that they may not hold elective office.

Affiliate membership: Does not require AAA membership. Affiliate members are welcome to participate in CORI activities but do not have voting rights and cannot hold elective or appointive office.

No separate dues are currently required for membership. If you wish to join, email your name and address to Dianna Shandy Be sure to indicate the class of membership: full, associate, or affiliate.

Publications:

CORI publishes a series of peer-reviewed Selected Papers under rotating editorship.
