Mahir and Ayaan are my twin nephews who were born on Apr. 26, 2006 and have been hospitalized since Aug. 2006 with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disorder. The twins have been enduring bone marrow transplants, chemotherapy and numerous reactions to medications through treatments at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
