COMM 361 Online Journalism
WelcomeHowdy, I’m Asma Chaudhary and I am a senior at George Mason University. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design with a minor in electronic journalism. Afterwards, I would like to continue my education somewhere, possibly The Corcoran College of Art + Design with an M.A. in interior design to open my own design firm someday. Art + DesignI enjoy viewing art galleries and museums in the local Washington, D.C. area or in various hotspots scattered across New York City. I am also representing the College of Visual and Performing Arts Diversity Committee as well as the Art and Visual Technology Honors program. Most of the graphic design work I do is geared towards print advertising such as logo and catalogue design, magazine and newsletter layouts, poster advertisements and other forms of promotional material. If you want creativity, a graphic designer is what you need. JournalismI’ve always been inquisitive about the world around me. My experience began while attending Falls Church High School, where I wrote for the school’s newspaper, Jagwire. I quickly went from a staff reporter to an assistant editor-in-chief based on my investigative reporting. I believe the news affects our daily lives and that awareness is key.
