We can make it

You are told that a student with visual impairment will be taking your class from home. What should you do to facilitate the student and keep him/her motivated in class?

Mission One

Browse information from Accessibility@Mason and other resources relevent to facilitating students with visual impairment, and write down key arrangements you need to make for your class.

Mission Two

Share with class your ideas, services you find that help facilitate students need, and regulations regarding teaching student with disabilities.

Mission Three

Listen to the stories from guest speakers (a teacher of special education and a student with visual impairment) about their perspectives on best practices in classroom, their experiences and concerns.

Mission Four

Write down in your journal your reflection on this scenario, and what you have learned from the guest speakers and information from all your resources, how to incorporate those effective practices into your class.
