Presentation
CEC Conference (April, 2001) --- presented as a title of
"Adapting the classroom environment for Communication Opportunities
and more" with Jennie Schaff. Brief Proposal
This was my first time to present at the national conference. The presentation
was a part of student-kaleidoscope. I think that the presentation was
okay, except there were not much audience. Student kaleidoscope was
not major part of CE, and this was not known well. So student presenters
had to present each other. I think this was very good experience and
an excellent opportunity for me..
Yonsei Rehabilitation School in Korea (June, 2001). --- presented
as a title of "What is Assistive Technology". Powerpoint
Presentation (English version)
This was my first time to present in Korean. I brought in Korea many
catalogs from different Assistive Technology vendors, so I had enough
stuff to show the audience while presenting. My only complaint was that
I could not show them the actual Assistive Technology device. But catalog
was much better than nothing. I practiced my presentation to my mom
so many times right before night. My actual presentation was very successful.
Presenting in Korean was much much easier for me to present in English.
AHEAD (The Association on Higher Education and Disability in Virginia)
(October, 2001) --- presented as a guestspeaker at Keynote Presentation.
Video clip of my presentation.
This was my first time to present to large audience. I presented my
experiences with AAC. After finishing the presentation, many audience
came to me and praised me highly.
Ivymount

2001)
TAM
/ EAST Conference (January, 2002) --- presented as a title
of "Communication within the classroom: A close look at Assistive
technology and augmentative and alternative communication systems and
how they can be used most effectively within the classroom" with
Jennie Schaff. Abstract and Synopsis
Ehwa
Womans University, Seoul, Korea (May, 2002) --- presented
as a title of "AT and AAC"
This was my first time to lecture in classroom
at the University. When Dr. Ji-Yeon Park (a professor at Ehwa Womans
University) in Korea asked me to do special lecture for her students,
I was very hesitated because I knew that this was going to be very nervous.
On the other hand, I thought that this was one of the wonderful opportunies
for me, which was lecturing in the University classroom. I showed the
students the actual switches and two AAC softwares, and students were
amazed by devices.
