Now, Lets Talk Money...

Fundraising isn't as hard as it sounds... but it can be difficult if you don't know what to account for. There are many variables including venue, date, clientele, method of fundraising and advertising for the event a well as sponsors to pay for it all! Fortunately, this web page should give you the starting resources to thrive in connecting with others to obtain our target audience.

Venue is a key component that strongly determines the clientele, method and funds expected. If you choose a grille in a major city, then the turnout might be a bit different than a grille in the country. However, if you advertise to the right people, you might be overcome with the fat cats at wineries, golf courses and rural residences that frequent the idea represented by your fundraiser. Non Profit cover cost is always an issue. You want to network to become familiar with these processes and those who can sponsor you.

Method is everything. The method is always going to have to suit the venue and situation. Raffles are a great and easy way to fundraise. If you were to hold a raffle, then you might want to determine whether you are going to be selling the tickets prior to or before the event. You always want to form the fundraising triangle with a raffle: several low ticket items such as gift cards and discounts at the bottom, a couple MP3s or somewhat larger gifts to the middle and high ticket items such as tickets to a show or even a motorcycle at the top.

Sponsors are key to a sucessful fundraiser. Otherwise, you may as well donate your cash straightup. Money is a mysterious thing when you think about it. (No, not talking about fraud...) It can be used to purchase venue space such as a resteraunt that will allow you to keep 20% of what you make which is actually a ripoff unless it provides a bonus in publicity such as an embassy or a public sphere for promoting your organization. Sponsors can donate the items of a raffle to be represented at your event as well as chip off the price of printing costs for your tickets.

And above all, never forget - You Are Unstoppable. Others talk, but YOU are the one on this website. My name is Steve, and I'm Proud of You.
