My passions are what drives my path forward. What are my passions? To name just a few, they include: software, computers, and technology in general, along with video games and their development, music, Japanese language and culture, and localization.
This being the case, one of the main paths I see myself pursuing in the longer term, say over the next five to ten years and beyond, is to work in video game development or software development in general. I am interested in any paths where I can work with a team to contribute to developing useful, fun, or novel ways of using technology. I want to continually push the boundaries of what we can do with computers and technology.
In the medium term, or in about the next one to five years or so, as I work in the field, I hope to create opportunities for my own professional development through experiences working in various areas of game or software development where I can really figure out the niches where I want to work in in the longer term. I hope to do this not only through my work professionally, but to also continue to do so in my free time through just-for-fun passion projects.
Towards these ends, I am excited to be searching for internships or other employment opportunities in my field with a company that shares my values and interests. I am looking for opportunities in the immediate term as well as those in the near future, such as in the summer.
