About Me

I was born and raised in Mumbai, India. I grew up spending summers at my native place where we would play cricket and run in the surf until sunset. I still play cricket whenever I have a chance. Education has always been a big part of my life. I guess you could expect that when your mom is a teacher. I’m proud that I’ve always challenged myself to learn both in class and on my own. One of the most challenging and exciting times in my life was when I helped a classmate expand his business in to software during my final year of undergraduate study. Balancing the needs of the newly emerging company and academics taught me so much about organization, time management and meeting deadlines. We had to depend on ourselves to solve the problems and get the job done. It was a most satisfying and memorable experience. The lessons learned have helped me again and again and gave me the confidence to leave India and come to the US to pursue a master’s degree in Computer Science.

At graduation, my current employer laughed when she said I landed at Dulles one day and was at her office door the next. It’s true that I didn’t miss a beat seeking a position on campus. Even truer was how lucky I was to be part of this project. As the technical leader I learned to truly value each member’s contribution and opinion. Problems that seemed unsolvable were solved one after another through collective brainstorming, communication and determination. Watching suggestions and what ifs bounce around the group and then merge into a solution was an almost magical process. This project experience more than any other shaped my view on management, leadership and problem solving.

Overall, I am confident that I have developed the skills and attitudes necessary to handle a successful career in Web Design and Development. I love life. I would describe myself as friendly, respectful and reserved. In my free time I play cricket and racquetball, watch movies and play video games with my friends. I would love to talk to you about any opportunities you may have...
