Reem Nadeem is a junior majoring in English and minoring in Journalism at George Mason University. She has been writing for student run publications for over 5 years and has experience writing for both print and online. Currently, Reem is a print news editor with Mason's IV Estate. In her time with IV Estate, Reem has authored and co-authored articles on nationally relevant issues such as contingent faculty movements, fossil fuel divestment and transparency in higher education.

Reem's concentration in Writing and Rhetoric helps her better observe and document deeper conversations in events. Her writing has also been improved through research and project intensive courses such as Writing Ethnography, Multimedia Journalism and Introduction to Writing and Rhetoric.

Her favorite sources for news and in depth analyses of it include the Washington Post and the Atlantic. Her favorite local source is the Fairfax Times. One of her favorite hobbies is identifying and analyzing partisan rhetoric in "objective" mainstream news sources. Reem's current challenges and goals include learning to effectively incorporate multimedia into her portfolio.
